Brief History of Walters UK Limited

Walters UK Limited was formed in 1992 to carry out civil engineering/construction contracts on behalf of the Walters Group. 

Since then Walters UK has developed into the largest and most successful indigenous contractor in South Wales. 

Turnover has expanded to £30 million and it operates on a strong financial basis with no borrowing. 

In line with this growth Walters skills base and expertise in its chosen fields of activity has earned it a reputation as one of the country’s foremost earthwork/reclamation/remediation contractors. 

Over the past 15 years it has been involved in most of the reclamation schemes carried out in South Wales preparing sites for redevelopment both for public and private clients. 

Walters UK prides itself on the first class service it provides to its clients and their advisors and in developing long term relationships.  This is reflected in the amount of repeat business we carry out with our clients much of which is now carried out by negotiation and on an open book basis using the New Engineering Contract.

 Walters UK Limited role is different to most contractors in so much as we actually carryout most of the work ourselves using our own resources.  This approach has many benefits to us as a company and these benefits are passed on to our clients.  We have greater flexibility in being able to select the right resources for each element of work making us more efficient. 

Our staff has acquired considerable experience in and enjoy working on partnering contracts.  They are adapt at examining sections of work and looking for better, safer more economical ways of achieving the required end result which is what value engineering is all about.
